Microsoft office versions update#
I will update if I get around to testing with the ODT as this is only for a limited number of workstations so we may just manually run the commands after build with a script.Microsoft Office is a productivity suite developed by Microsoft. 2152 (the monthly release) and it downgraded with no issues so hopefully using the ODT to download and deploy will work. I haven't tried to package up yet but suspect this is the issue. This worked correctly and downgraded to the required version.

Run Command: OfficeC2RClient.exe /changesetting Channel=Broad They suggested from the Command Prompt locally with the following commands:īrowse to: %programfiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun Log files suggest it can't find the file to download on MS Servers.įirstly is it possible to download older no longer supported versions of Office 365 such as 1803 and if so what's the right process for doing so?ĮDIT: So after some back and forwards with MS it turns out you CAN downgrade to a previous version. I've edited the xml file to request 1803 with Version=".2152" however it fails when running. Not ideal but the user has accepted the risk. I need to download version 1803 for one machine due to compatibility issues with a business app. I have the ODT and have used it to download the newest version with no issues.
